How it Works - and How to Do It
Besides reducing your body's absorption of EMF from electric/electronic devices, besides improving performance in the batteries that power them, The Harmonic Shield has another unexpected - and excellent - effect. The Negative Ions and Far-Infrared Radiation it emits can also affect the taste of foods and beverages. When placed for instance, under a glass of wine for 10 - 20 minutes before drinking, a subtle improvement of taste can be noticed. The same can be done with coffee, and we've also experimented with fermented vegetables like sauerkraut, and with sliced melon and fruit salads. There are certainly more possibilities to try. While we don’t in any way recommend smoking, smokers have even reported that a patch left in their pack of cigarettes improves their taste. Why would this be – and how might these things be explained ? Here's are some possible explanations, based in the science behind The Harmonic Shield.
The Harmonic Shield, as mentioned, generates 1) abundant Negative Ions, and 2) a strong field of Far-Infrared Radiation. These forces each have well documented, positive effects on cells and tissues in living organisms (plants, animals, humans).
In Nature, strong concentrations of Negative Ions give us a special feeling of wellbeing – we experience this for instance in the refreshed atmosphere after a rainstorm, beside a waterfall or rushing mountain stream. Negative Ions contribute to the effectiveness of antioxidant herbs and supplements like Curcumin, helping reduce inflammation and prevent free radical damage. They also bind with many toxic substances, which typically have an excess of positive ions.
Changes in the balance of positive and negative ions may subtly effect various substances in wine or coffee - including ones that effect taste. It’s also reasonable to expect that they may contribute healthful antioxidant effects to foods and beverages. These characteristics of Negative Ions may also explain effects reported by smokers.
Far-Infrared Radiation is the portion of natural sunlight that stimulates ripening processes in fruits and vegetables. Ripening as we know, affects taste, and this is very probably the cause of taste changes to be noticed, for instance in a bowl of cut fruit when placed over The Harmonic Shield for a time
Taste is very individual, so to find out what works best for you, we suggest you experiment. Here are some guidelines as you start :
1) Work with small quantities - a small glass/decanter of wine or coffee, a small bowl of cut fruit
2) Expose food and beverages for just a short time - start with 10-20 minutes and experiment for best results
3) Don’t remove the white adhesive backing of the patch - just cover the patch with a thin piece of cloth or paper towel, and put the glass, decanter or bowl on top of it for the chosen time.
4) The component materials of The Harmonic Shield don’t wear out. Keep the patch dry so the adhesive backing doesn’t detach, and you can use the patch as often as you like. The “Blue Man” design on the patch surface is not part of its function - so don’t worry if it eventually wears off
To reinforce the “small quantities/short time” guidelines above : the forces in The Harmonic Shield work in an ongoing way, Therefore, don't just apply the patch to a bottle of wine and leave it there
Once more : taste is individual. You may like the changes you get with one beverage – for instance one kind of wine – more than another. Experiment first with a glass, rather than a jug - and see what you like !
