Will The Harmonic Shield improve the
performance of my lithium ion batteries ?
Here are three simple ways to test battery performance enhancement with The Harmonic Shield. Before proceeding, of course, recall that better battery performance can only be expected when 1) The Harmonic Shield is applied directly to the battery surface - and 2) At least 70% of the surface of the battery (top or bottom) is covered.
New batteries may already be at top performance, so although long term benefits may be just as real, they may be more immediately noticeable in older batteries
Does your device run less "hot" than previously ?
The field of Negative Ions your Harmonic Shield patch generates reduces electrical resistance inside your batteries, and will slow - and to some extent even reverse the formation of internal deposits. One clear sign of resistance in an electrical system is production of heat. Excessive resistance is a source of inefficiency in such a system - and over time, also contributes to wear and breakdown of its parts
To get an idea of improvements The Harmonic Shield may be making to batteries in your phone or other devices, simply observe the level of heat they generate during different operations, over a few days before applying The Harmonic Shield. Once you've applied the patch, wait at least three full charging cycles before observing device heat output again
Less heat generation indicates a diminished internal resistance, and a more efficiently performing battery. This bodes well for future charging and standby times - and also for the lifespan of your lithium battery
How quickly does your battery charge - and how long does it hold it ?
We've developed two simple tests to compare charging times and standby times before and after applying The Harmonic Shield patch. In order to do this
- Your device must be able to show a reading of how much charge remains in the battery
- You need to do the first part of each test before you apply the patch
- The patch must be applied directly to the battery surface (top or bottom but not both) and
- The patch must cover at least 70% (optimally 100%) of the battery surface
To check your battery’s charging time with and without The Harmonic Shield
Before applying the Harmonic Shield, check the speed at which your battery charges for 3 charging cycles. To do this check the percentage of remaining charge before charging, then check again after a chosen increment of time - for instance a half hour or an hour of charging. Write down the percentage change after charging each time
Next apply The Harmonic Shield to your battery as directed. The benefits of The Harmonic Shield begin to appear after you’ve charged your battery several times, so wait at least three normal charging cycles before you test the battery again. Do the same checks - percentage of charge before and after charging, just as you did without the patch. Do this for 3 charging cycles, then compare with your “pre-patch” results.
For your interest, repeat the same checks for 3 charging cycles again at 3 month intervals.
To check standby time of your battery with and without The Harmonic Shield
Before applying The Harmonic Shield, check your battery’s standby performance for 3 normal charging cycles. To do this, check the percentage of remaining charge in your battery at the end of your day of phone use - for instance at bedtime. Leaving your phone on, recheck the percentage of remaining charge again in seven or eight hours. Do this for 3 days, and keep a record.
To check your battery’s standby performance with The Harmonic Shield, now apply the patch, and charge your battery normally for three cycles.
Next perform the same checks of battery standby performance as previously, checking the charge percentage before and after your standby period. Again record your results for 3 charging cycles. Compare these results with your results before the patch was applied, and for your interest, repeat the checks at 3 month intervals
Factors that may affect these tests
If you have a very fast charger, and particularly if you have a very new battery, you may already be at or near peak capacity for charging speed/standby time. Inconclusive results in this case don't mean The Harmonic Shield isn't working - your battery will still retain charging speed and standby time better as it ages. It will also last longer, even much longer overall. Best results with the above tests will therefore be most noticeable in older batteries
It's expected that over the lifetime of your battery you can gain 20-50% in charging speed and standby time, with the difference in performance showing incrementally over time. Even if performance of the battery isn't markedly better at first, it will decline more slowly than it would have otherwise. Users have reported battery lifespan up to 2 - 3 times longer with this technology
